Uncertainty. It is a word that we do not like very much. We prefer certainty yet we are living in uncertain times. How do we live a time of uncertainty?
Hear this word from God’s Word in Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.”
What do we know about Jesus? The scriptures indicate that Jesus is loving. Jesus is kind. Jesus is compassionate. Jesus meets us where we are. Jesus is faithful. Jesus can be trusted.
In this time of uncertainty, we can count on Jesus. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. I invite you to pray this prayer,
“Jesus, we are grateful that we can count on you when everything else is changing. You have always been kind. You are love. In our uncertain world, you are certainty. We choose this day to focus on you rather that to focus on the chaos. You are our anchor. You are our solid rock. Amen.”
